Amika is truly unparalleled in the world of premium nightclubs. The venue oozes opulence and devotes a superior level of service to those who demand only the best. After descending the chandelier lit, mirrored stair well, a long black marble corridor unfolds, lit softly by thousands of floor level LED's offering a breathtaking optical. Fresh lilies sit in every alcove and decadent chandeliers hang in arched ceilings...this is the beginning of the Amika experience.

The house where Amnesia now stands was built at the end of the 18th century. Five generations of the Planells family lived within its thick, whitewashed walls. They cultivated the land and built a mill out of stone. During the first half of the 10th century the poor that came to beg, received bread, cheese and dried figs. The first foreign visitors to come to the island arrived towards 1950. They were drawn to the island by rumors of its mysterious legends and its breathtaking untouched nature. In 1954 people like Aristoteles Onassis or Rainier of Monaco were startled by the beauty of the Pitiusan coves. Ibiza then discovered tourism and began to prosper and grow.

In 1974 a young man born in Madrid, with a degree in philosophy came on to the scene, his name was Antonio Escohotado. He arrives on Ibiza looking to start a new life. He is soon to be the new apostle for the new drug experimentations.

One fine day in May 76 Antonio makes a deal with the landlady of the house and she rents it to him for 20.000 pesetas (120€) a month. Now all that was left was to christen the discotheque. He thought hard about this until he came across the name, The Workshop of Forgetfulness. He wanted to express that when people go out at night it is to forget their problems and indulge in an unknown world far away from ordinary routine. The next day he realized that just one word from Greek etymology explained it all. This of course was Amnesia and that is how the islands most authentic discotheque was born.

Arq Sydney took five years to research and build. Sydney's only purpose built entertainment venue, it is genuinely unsurpassed in its facilities and flexibility. Its comfort, stunning levels of finish and functionality combine aesthetically into the venue you need.

The venue you wished for. The venue you can have. Upstairs is “The Arena” – A classic pillar free space of height and depth which can be adjusted to create a multitude of environments and events. The Arena offers a versatile central stage, large dance floor area, 2 large fully stocked bars that can serve any crowd, a full commercial kitchen plus various VIP areas, DJ booth and cloak room; there is also a large mezzanine floor which circles above the main arena and a separate outdoor smoking area.

The intelligent moving lighting rig and state of the art lasers will vitalize or hypnotize and the sound, of course is world class.

Downstairs is “The Vortex” – An air of sleek functionality. An aesthetic collection of light and shadow enfolds a large fully stocked bar, another stage also suited to bands and production shows, DJ booth, lounges and pool tables.

Back of house are the dressing rooms with their own entrance and direct stage access.

The Vortex also boasts its own chill out room or VIP lounge area, cloak room, outdoor smoking area and full production, sound and lighting equipment.

The Arena and the Vortex operate independently at the same time and or together as one mega, world class night club.

Built and established as a licensed premises in 1912 as the Cleveland Inn, this heritage listed hotel is featured in the Powerhouse Museum.

A major restoration in 1995 prompted a name change and Bar Cleveland was born, evolving into one of Sydney's most popular inner city pubs.

The Breakfast Group, the team behind 2008’s hit club Punk and the live music institution that is The Social, are directing Bar Rumba’s musical renaissance. With the company having already firmly established two successful Indie / Rock venues, Bar Rumba is set to create a new standard for live music in London’s, West End by combining club nights that cater for both the young fashionistas and complete audiophiles across the weekend.

December 2008 saw Bar Rumba test the waters by temporarily opening it’s doors under the pseudonym, 36 - a ‘pop up’ club concept in response to party goers demands for real music performed by musicians rather than the formulaic West End Funky house and cheesy dance floor fillers. Punk had earlier lead this alternative revolution, managing to attract the trendy Shoreditch set, style junkies and music lovers alike. Opting to rebel against the established, nondescript Central London clubs and firmly bringing an authentic party back to Soho.

From 36’s notable success, Bar Rumba will endeavour to continue its policy of Rock ‘n’ Roll lead nights and parties that dish out quality music in an unpretentious environment where instead good times, real music experiences, live entertainment and more bang for your hard earn cash is the order of the day. Bar Rumba is a venue that has music as its priority, where for over the last 15 years leading dance music talents such as Giles Petersen, Carl Cox, Derrick Carter, Norman Jay, Masters At Work and Todd Terry have all graced the venues decks. Now, emerging into a new musical age, this ethos remains the same and this London institution is the new venue for Blow Up, a legendary club night, also in its 15th year.

 Blow Up was the centre of the early to mid Nineties Brit Pop explosion, influencing the style and sound of a generation. This new residency starts on Saturday 24th January (following a move from a seven year run at Metro Club). Barrio Latino, a longstanding Bar Rumba favourite continues its weekly Tuesday night with a line up that includes Orquestar Estelar an amazing 35 piece Latin big-band on the 3rd February. Bia Bar is located on Lower Stephens Street just off Georges Street and a two minuite walk from Grafton Street.

Serving food seven days a week and having some of the best DJs in the city, Bia Bar has firmly established itself amongst the great bars of this city. As well as great food and music Bia Bar also has free internet connection and areas of the bar that can be reserved for events or functions.

 

Break for the Border is a super-pub, in that it is huge with a bar area, a night club and a restaurant. It is located on Stephen St just around the corner from the Stephens Green Shopping Centre. There is a fun loving atmosphere inside with all the latest chart sounds being played. It is open late some nights of the week however there is an entry charge at the weekends of €5 after 11pm.

Break for the Border is ideal for a night out with a large group of friends or colleagues given that it has everything you want under one roof and if you are there on the right night there might be a live band.

It is open from 5p.m every day and from 12.30 for lunch on Saturday and Sundays.

Located in the heart of Gastown, Club 23 West hosts some of Vancouver's most underground and hottest Club nights, notably Organix psytrance Fridays and the notorious Sin City fetish party on the second Saturday of every month.

A laid back atmosphere and vibe as much like a house party as a club night give 23 West a comfortable atmosphere, added to by the legendary back patio overlooking Blood Alley. Spacious, heated and private but with a public view, it's a favorite spot for many.

Hidden has fast established itself a serious contender for London’s best mid-sized venue, earning plaudits from promoters and clubbers alike. Koko is a 1500 capacity venue that hosts some of the biggest up an coming acts in the UK and beyond.

KOKO is an over 18s venue unless otherwise specified. Ticket-holders will not be admitted to the event or recieve a refund if unable to present valid identification indicating they are over the required age limit for the show they are attending. Only current passport, driving licence or PASS identification cards are accepted as valid forms of ID. Student cards are not accepted.

 

Located in the heart of Temple Bar, Club M has been providing its guests with the finest cocktails, service and entertainment for over a decade. Spanning 2 floors with fantastic galleries overlooking the main arena, the Club M vibe is exuberant, extrovert and relaxed, with none of the pretentiousness commonly associated with a fashionable night club.
